Stage 3 - Monday 20th July – Ardalstangen.
A short and nasty stage. 13km, and 900m climbing. It does not sound so bad, but the 12% average gradient of the climb made it a lot harder.
Brief update from the Viking Tour of Norway. Leah took home the Green Sprinters jersey today on stage 3 of 7. 4 more stages to go, and i will be her lead out train tomorrow.
Hamish came 4th overall yesterday in a 175km stage and 1st in the over 40 category, but paid for his play in the break today, and suffered on the 13km, 900m climb.
Hamish also managed to break his derailer on the way back down. What a pain that turned out to be...
Tomorrow is 120km over a high plateau with a forecast of heavy rain. More to come later in the week.
